NBA YoungBoy’s label Never Broke Again LLC announced its joint global deal and album with Motown Records on Wednesday (Aug. 8).
YoungBoy will team up with P Yungin, Meechy Baby, Quando Rondo, No Cap, Rjae and Rojay for the label’s first project Never Broke Again Vol. 1 — a compilation dropping in October with its first single hitting DSPs later this month.
Projects were announced for P Yuning and Meechy Baby as well. While the label is partnering with Motown, YoungBoy and Kyle Montana Clairborne will continue to lead and sign artists to the Never Broke Again label.
“I’m excited to work with Never Broke Again, a homegrown brand that has created an incredibly authentic and credible movement that represents the next generation in Louisiana’s legacy of ground-breaking hip-hop labels. I look forward to working with Young Boy and Montana to continue to grow their vision and reach their fans around the world.”

While looking for a label to partner with, Young Boy saw Motown as his best fit.
“I felt like I had a responsibility to my artists to make sure to find the right the right partner for my label,” YoungBoy said. “I’m looking forward to working with Ethiopia, Kenoe and Motown Records.”

YoungBoy’s last official release was back in May with his single “White Teeth.” Peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, Young Boy earned his second top-10 track in less than a year. Young Boy has been featured on the list three times since the release of AI YoungBoy 2 in 2019.
While not an official release, a clip surfaced in August on the rapper’s YouTube channel titled “Lock Down Session.” The single was recorded during a call from St. Martin Parish Correctional Center where Young Boy is awaiting trial for gun possession and other charges. It has yet to be released on an official streaming platform.
Earlier this year, YoungBoy also made a surprise appearance teaming up with Tyler the Creator and Ty Dolla $ign on ‘Wusyaname.’
Coming off Tyler’s Call Me If You Get Lost, NBA floated over Tyler’s unique production giving one of the most memorable features of the summer.
The inclusion of the Louisianna rapper was hidden after Tyler released the song on YouTube without his verse. The feature appeared to be a winning formula, as it earned CMIYGL’s highest-charting song, peaking at No. 19 on Billboard.
