Like the hazy distortion enveloping the space around him, Nettspend‘s “NOTHING LIKE YOU” makes the hairs on your neck stand up.
While the 16-year-old DMV native is still building his brand–and catalog–mere months into his career (touting sets at Rolling Loud and Summer Smash), Nett’s “NOTHING LIKE YOU” instantly catches the ear. “Hold my hand if you think it’s for life,” he tears off on the 2-minute long banger, which boasts infectious, synth-heavy production that crinkles with high-pitched slides over Nettspend’s razor-sharp autotune.
This is Nettspend’s first solo release of 2024, appearing on tracks with friends and collaborators in OsamaSon, xaviersobased and more. Previously appearing on Evilgiane‘s Heaven’s Gate on “40” with xavier, Nettspend seems to naturally attract viral moments. Recently, graffiti of Nettspend’s moniker “bad ass f**king kid” appeared on Lil Yachty’s Coachella billboards earlier this month, using the photos for the artwork of “Real Drank” with freemyswag.
