Posthumous drill releases have taken over the airwaves this week, with Pop Smoke’s newest album hitting streaming as well as a new offering from King Von.
Funkmaster Flex and Von dropped the original version of “Lurkin” in October of last year, and now Polo G has opted to contribute a verse.
Polo G is having a huge year, with placements on the Migos album, G Herbo and Lil Tjay, along with his own project, Hall of Fame, with numerous top-tier features and high-charting singles. He continues his hot streak by hopping on this single for Funk Flex’s upcoming album Funk Flex Presents: The Curation 001.

King Von’s untimely passing rocked the hip-hop world, with the 26-year-old rapper being a staple of Chicago’s drill scene. Music still continues to trickle from his collection as we reach the mid portion of 2021, begging the question of whether we will see any posthumous projects from him.
