Yung Bleu announces album dropping July 23

Yung Bleu, Alabama’s resident crooner, is set to release another solo project, Moon Boy, on July 23. He released a trailer on July 7, featuring what seem to be unheard John Legend vocals.

Looks like he is finally ready to spread his wings, after securing a Drake feature on “You’re Mines Still” and multiple comparable placements in the last year. Boosie clearly made no mistake when signing Bleu, and the deal seems to be working out for them.

His first single from Moon Boy, “Baddest”, features the likes of 2 Chainz and Chris Brown, a sultry bedroom banger that highlighted Bleu’s vocal abilities when compared to Breezy.

Just two weeks shy of the album release, Bleu drops off another mellow tune with some assistance from Big Sean. On “Way More Close (Stuck In A Box)”, Yung Bleu hops in with his signature crooning mixed with a couple of more rapper-esque bars, then Sean Don hits a melancholy verse about a past relationship.

He also recently collaborated with YSL queen Karlae on “Trance” off of Slime Language 2; and H.E.R. for a song off of Back of My Mind. With all these high-profile peers, it will be interesting to see who he taps for his own project.

Get ready for Yung Bleu to blast off on Moon Boy.
