Autumn!’s grind is one-of-a-kind — patiently waiting his turn for massive success. After a year of consistent releases, he may have finally hit it big with his new single “One Way!,” earning his first appearance on Spotify’s Top 10 Debuts.
Starting off as a producer alongside friend and fellow underground talent Summrs, his versatility has shown through on a plethora of tracks ranging from heavy-hitting bangers to some more mellow tracks. OGM host Hakeem Rowe had a chance to sit down with the newcomer in July to discuss his come-up and plans for the future.
Back in June, the Louisiana rapper dropped a full-length project titled Golden Child, Chapter 1, a collection of solo songs with a variety of sounds. Paired with five singles and three EPs, there has been no shortage of music from Autumn! I’m 2021.
One of his most coveted collaborations this year was a three-track EP with Summrs named Not Much Left. The duo showcases their ability to float on chill instrumentals as the new wave continues to come up together.
“One Way!” is yet another chill song from the 23-year-old artist, with him singing beautiful melodies over jazzy bass and harpsichord chords. His imminent success is apparent as his latest single is seen shooting up the charts — garnering almost 2 million plays in its first few days on Spotify alone.
