Dreamville’s unsung X-factor is back in action.
On Friday (April 14), the Swiss army knife of J. Cole’s label released his first project since 2019’s Spilled Milk 1 EP, which included features from label mates like EARTHGANG, JID and Ari Lennox. For this brand new EP, titled [BUMP] Pick Me Up, Bas leveled up his feature game with the help of Gunna, J. Cole, Lil Tjay and Ari Lennox again.
[BUMP] Pick Me Up includes the same amount of tracks as Spilled Milk 1, containing four thrilling collaborations. The music video for the second track “[Admire Her]” with Gunna dropped at 12 hours later at Noon ET on April 15.
The extravagance of the features on this EP and recent verses he’s given to J. Cole and Dreamville compilation projects all signal that this 12 minute project will be a worthwhile listen.

Bas announces ‘[BUMP] Pick Me Up’ EP featuring Gunna, Ari Lennox dropping Friday
Bas has long been the most underappreciated asset in the Dreamville family.
With poetic and versatile projects like 2016’s Too High to Riot and 2018’s Milky Way â as well as stunning features on multiple J. Cole The Off-Season tracks like “1 0 0 . m i l ‘” and “l e t . g o . m y . h a n d” â âThe Jackieâ emcee has certainly come a long way since signing with Dreamville in 2014.
Famed for fiery verses on label collective tapes like “Down Bad” and “Costa Rica” on ROTD3 and “Lifestyle” with A$AP Ferg on D-Day, Bas looks to âBUMPâ up his standing in the game with his upcoming 4-pack EP.
Along with improvement has come the ability to work with higher caliber artists, much like Lil Tjay on his 2021 banger with J. Cole “The Jackie.” Now, as a quasi follow-up, Bas has enlisted the help of one the most attractive and sought out features in hip-hop right now: Gunna.
On Monday (April 11), Bas announced his new single “Admire Her” with Gunna will release on Friday (April 15). Back in February, Bas alluded to the music video with him on Twitter, simply captioning the post “Pretty soon…”

Along with the new single, Bas announced Tuesday (April 12), this new song, coupled with the previously released “The Jackie,” will be included in his summer-themed EP titled [BUMP] Pick Me Up, also releasing on Friday. The two other songs included will feature fellow Dreamville songbird Ari Lennox as well as Danish producer Galimatias.
Some of Basâ best music comes when he is in a summer mindset, so surely these three new songs will fittingly soundtrack our transition into sunny days ahead.
