Melody is a mystery for most—making it stick in listeners’ heads is the challenge every artist chases. But for Eem Triplin, it’s muscle memory, proving this and more with his debut album, MELODY OF A MEMORY.
Taking a page out of Tyler, The Creator’s book (who’s his biggest inspiration), the album dropped on Monday at Noon EST (Feb. 17). Packed with 13 punchy, fun and infectious tracks (and two features from Cruza and Ty Dolla $ign), MOAM was preceded by singles in “FIJI,” “CRAZY HOES,” “MISS ME?”and his latest “DUYA.”
The album seemingly embodies the energy of his idols like Tyler (listen to “23” and “DUYA”) and Pharrell, outwardly showcasing Eem’s evolution and attention to detail minutes in. Colorful, calculated and quirky, the Pennsylvania producer-rapper has come a long way since pulling 13 fans at Rolling Loud a few years back. Primed for a mainstream breakout in 2025, Eem’s raspy yet hypnotizing track presence and warbly melodies have become a staple of his still-growing catalog, and MOAM is both his debut and pièce de résistance.
All four MOAM singles follow his collaboration with Camila Cabello on C,XOXO (Magic City Edition), “baby pink” and his first EP, STILL PRETTY, two summers ago. While that tape put Eem on the map, he’s locked in with GRAMMY-award winning producer DJ Dahi for a majority of production on MOAM—not to mention producing most of the album himself.
As we settle into his MOAM era, it’s apparent Eem Triplin has one again cemented himself as an artist to watch for years to come—only getting more potent by the project.
