Guwop Reign, one of hip-hop’s rising new wave stars, delivers a new SoundCloud exclusive and visuals for “No Love 2”
Delivering countless singles, pristine music videos and accumulating over 27,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, more people are becoming fans of his distinct sound each day. As Guwop’s young reign only seems to get stronger, he dropped the underground sequel to one of his most popular tracks “No Love” over the weekend.
“No Love 2” kicks off with a pleasing background choir before listeners are welcomed to the rich and soothing voice of Guwop Reign. While many are familiar with Guwop’s deep, harmonious sound, “No Love 2” touts vocal similarities to that of ATL legend Future. Reign further displays his swagger with an irresistible, effortless flow, in which very much resembles Mr. Hendrix himself. While Guwop’s sound and artistry is full of versatility, his October release “Flawless” supported the teenage phenom’s narrative — fine tuning it on “No Love 2.”
The track’s accompanying visual is shot completely in black and white once more. The black and white hues have been a common theme for Guwop Reign, as his last four videos have been completely without color. Giving way for an eventual album release, this video pushes for total simplicity as Guwop is seen vibing and kicking it in the studio throughout its duration.
The 18-year-old rapper has had much success throughout the beginning of what should be a long and fruitful career. Featured on Lil Tecca’s 2020 album, Virgo World and Dro Kenji’s 2021 mixtape, EAT YOUR HEART OUT, Guwop Reign continues to assert his stake as one of the new wave’s most underrated stars.
As Guwop Reign continues to add to his already impressive resume, fans remain hopeful that he’ll grow into the refined hitmaker he is seemingly becoming — eyeing to expand his audience and evolve his artistry one step at a time.
For now, kick back and enjoy his latest track “No Love 2.”
