Pop Smoke, Offset, Lil Durk and others headline ‘F9: The Fast Saga’ soundtrack

F9-The Fast Saga: Fast & Furious franchise enlists rap’s hottest stars for upcoming film.

F9: The Fast Saga (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) was released on June 17, and features an artist roster that resembles a festival lineup. The ninth rendition of the “Fast & Furious” film’s soundtrack includes Lil Durk twice, Don Toliver, Skepta, Pop Smoke, Trippie Redd, Offset, Jack Harlow, Ty Dolla $ign, 24kGoldn, Kevin Gates twice, Polo G, King Von, A$AP Rocky, NLE Choppa, Lil Tecca and several other artists to craft a high-energy atmosphere around the movie.

This particular film series is no stranger to stacked soundtracks. Dating back to their first film soundtrack from “The Fast and the Furious” in 2001 which included rappers like Ja Rule, Limp Bizkit and Fat Joe, the franchise has continuously recruited high profile artists.

For their 2013 film “Fast & Furious 6,” the soundtrack included Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Usher and smash hit “We Own It” by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. Then, for their seventh film “Furious 7,” wildly popular song “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth was included in a tracklist that also had Young Thug, YG, Future and Tyga.

The most recent film “The Fate of the Furious” from 2017 had a soundtrack including Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Migos, Kodak Black and many others along with hit songs “Go Off” by Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott and Quavo and “Candy Paint” by Post Malone.

Now, we have the soundtrack for Fast and Furious’ ninth film “F9: The Fast Saga.” Two singles, the opener “Fast Lane” by Don Toliver, Lil Durk and Latto and “I Won” by Ty Dolla $ign, Jack Harlow and 24kGoldn, were released before the album dropped.

Others like “Speed It Up” by NLE Choppa and Rico Nasty and posse cut “Lane Switcha” by Skepta, Pop Smoke, A$AP Rocky, Juicy J and Project Pat, bring groups of artists that surprisingly fit very well together.

“F9: The Fast Saga” releases on June 25. So, until it does, get ready by listening to the film’s soundtrack with many of hip-hop’s best.
