Aminé is hitting the road. On Monday (Nov. 15), the Portland native announced he will be going on tour starting the last week in January 2022 in his hometown. Over two months, Aminé will hit 20 different states and three Canadian cities, bringing intriguing openers British rapper AJ Tracey and Floridians Cochise and 454.
Accompanying the tour announcement came a skit from Aminé where he playfully imitated an informercial to try his hand at convincing fans to buy some tickets.
This announcement comes ten days after the release of his second career mixtape TWOPOINTFIVE on Nov. 5. The projects included the ambitious hyper-pop influenced single, “Charmander,” as well as light-hearted bops like “NEO” and “Van Gogh.”
His upcoming “Best Tour Ever” tour will be his first North American tour since Fall 2018, as he was coming off the release of his first mixtape ONEPOINTFIVE. He was not able to tour for his paramount Summer 2020 album Limbo duo to the coronavirus pandemic, which adds to the excitement for Aminé’s return to live performance.
Last week, Aminé rolled out merchandise for TWOPOINTFIVE which included t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other accessories in several vibrant colors. Perhaps most of this will be available at his shows on tour.
