Anderson .Paak has begun working on second ‘NxWorries’ album with Knxwledge

Although R&B juggernaut Anderson .Paak has not released a solo album since April 2019, that hasn’t stopped him from working on some notable collaborative projects.

.Paak has just begun the process of putting another album together with producer Knxwledge, as a part of their duo NxWorries.

On Tuesday (Jan. 25), Anderson posed a video of his son dancing to an unreleased instrumental from the group, announcing the NxWorries’ next project is in the works, declaring himself in “album mode.”

NxWorries’s most recent, lone project came in the form of 2016’s Yes Lawd!, and was then followed up with a version of the album instead full of remixes of the original tracks.

Aside from his work with .Paak, Knxwledge is famed for his production contributions to Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly and early work from Joey Bada$$‘s discography. The instrumentalist’s soulful hip-hop and R&B prowess makes he and .Paak a match made in heaven.

NxWorries’s sophomore album will come during a time of peak popularity for .Paak, as he is coming off a separate collaborative album with bonafide pop-star Bruno Mars as Silk Sonic. The album gave the world two stellar smash hits in “Smokin Out The Window” and “Leave The Door Open,” as well as a succinct project that revitalized the upbeat and frisky funk and R&B sounds of the 1970s and 1980s.

Anderson .Paak is, quite simply, on a roll and his momentum will surely roll over into a quality exhibition with Knxwledge on their next NxWorries album.
