As the new wave’s signature sound continues to define hip-hop today, their presence as young artists not only bolsters better opportunities for the future, but allows them to grow during their rise to fame.
Connecting with Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade for the visual to “14,” Tana and DAMI dominate throughout the track’s mellow plugg production. Dressed in all white, both rappers flex their bars in spacious, open desert, as Cole curates a majestic feel to an otherwise hard-hitting song.
BabySantana is the youngest artist ever to be featured in a Lyrical Lemonade video — earning more mainstream acclaim after his posse cut “AntiSocial 2” reached a No. 1 berth on SoundCloud’s new and hot chart. This isn’t the first time both rappers have collaborated either, connecting on KASHDAMI’s “Receipts” earlier this year.
KA$HSAMI, on the other hand, is continuing his already strong 2021. On his latest album, Epiphany, KA$H’s dark, melodic mix of hard-flowing punchline bars and captivating vocal performances seamlessly slide over the album’s somber yet punchy plugg production — drawing inspiration from the original era of SoundCloud Rap. It’s a testimony to his star potential, continuing Epiphany’s energy and sound on “14”
As Tana and KA$HDAMI continue to flourish, expect to see them back for more Lyrical Lemonade treatments in the near future.
