Benny the Butcher inks new deal with Def Jam Records

Griselda has only seen their stock soar since linking up with Jay-Z and Roc Nation Records in 2019.

As the group is known for moving as a collective, both Conway The Machine and Benny the Butcher continue to deviate from the coveted boom-bap label they started with Westside Gunn, as Benny recently signed a new deal with Def Jam Records on Monday (Nov. 15).

Rap legend Snoop Dogg recently made an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, mentioning Benny’s contract as he explained his personal involvement with the label. Snoop elaborated that as a creative consultant executive, he was given the opportunity to sign Benny as an artist he sees potential in.

Alongside the announcement, Benny appeared on the first single off of Snoop’s new album The Algorithm. Murder Music” features verses from Busta Rhymes and Jadakiss as the MCs bring back the retro-90’s style that initially popularized hip-hop.
