Bryson Tiller shares new video for ‘Outside’

Although it’s been another long wait for the TRAPSOUL pioneer to return to the mic, Bryson Tiller is officially back in album mode.

Despite dropping off A Different Christmas in late 2021, the multi-talented Kentucky-bred star hasn’t dropped a solo LP since his grandiose comeback project, Anniversary. Now, it’s clear that Bryson is on his way back.

Surprising fans with a fresh-pressed cut “Outside” (Sept. 8), the track will presumably serve as the lead single for Tiller’s forthcoming full-length project. Alluding to the album on Instagram, his bio reads “BTAIV22” with a disc emoji beside it — further hinting at its imminent release later this year (or perhaps this month). His new track creatively incorporates the Ying Yang Twins “Whisper Song,” as Tiller’s now-signature vocals bring forth an awe-inspiring barrage of bouncy R&B bliss.

No plans to unknown plans

You don’t need a man, you got your own bands

No kid money, these grown bands

Had to wake ’em up, they sleepin’

Bryson Tiller — “Outside”

Despite it being over a year since he released Anniversary, Tiller has been putting in major work behind the scenes ahead of his next record. Last Halloween, he dropped off the immersively potent Killer Instinct 2 — a cinematic, genre-bending sequel to his revered 2011 mixtape.

Most recently, he hopped on Diddy’s comeback track “Gotta Move On” and will also be featured on NAV’s new album Demons Protected by Angels on Friday (Sept. 9).

With much more in store for Louisville’s lyrical slugger, best believe Pen Griffey is coming back with a vengeance when “BTAIV” his streaming.
