Earl Sweatshirt shares new visual ‘Making The Band (Danity Kane)’ with Evilgiane

Just weeks after EVILGIANE linked up with Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem for their groovy surprise cut “The Hillbillies,” the producer is seemingly igniting a SURF GANG SUMMER with consecutive drops. Connecting with Earl Sweatshirt on “Making The Band (Danity Kane)” (June 15), the pair possess an energy akin to a grimy, electro-clad drill cut that sees Sweatshirt’s bars steal the show.

“Feel like Diddy dancing in the rain / Bruce Banner how I handle the rage / Loose cannon in me and it stay / Doing damage in a critical way,” he tears off, viscerating lines over fast-paced production clad with a more unconventional flow. This is Earl’s first drop since his appearance on Jean Dawson’s “Bad Fruit*” last October, without a solo project since SICK!’s release in January 2022.

Perhaps an inkling of more new music to come, hashtagging acronyms like “bmf” and “raindance,” Earl’s latest is just another testament to his generational talent.
