At 20 tracks long and featuring Offset, Normani, Leon Bridges and Roddy Ricch, the YSL superstar once again reasserts his lasting impact on hip-hop — proving he’s not only one of the most beloved rappers of our generation, but a hit-making force to be reckoned with.
Sharing lead singles in “bittersweet,” “prada dem” with Offset and “whatsapp (wassam)” (watch out for OGM host Hakeem Rowe in the track’s visual) ahead of its release on May 10, album highlights like “still prevail,” which features a slighted diss aimed at the Drake-Kendrick Lamar feud, “let it breathe” with Roddy Ricch, “one of wun,” “neck on a yacht,” “conscience” and more, Gunna continues to tout his signature brand of iridescent, airy trap bangers — ultimately uplifting his precise, ear-worming flows.
Debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200, ONE OF WUN sold 91,000 first-week units and became Gunna’s fifth Top 10 album of his career. Now ranking among the Top 20 most streamed hip-hop artist of all-time on Spotify across all credits, according to Chart Data, the album was trending for a Top 5 berth since its release, per Hits Daily Double.
A year removed from dropping a 2023 Album Of The Year favorite A Gift And A Curse, Gunna’s comeback — and overall rebrand — needs to be studied for years to come. Since being released from prison in 2022, Gunna has put the “W” in WUNNA at every corner of his career. Already embarked on his 16-date North American “Bittersweet Tour” featuring Flo Milli, he’s looking snag another round of AOTY honors with his latest album.
