Iayze shares dark visual for SoundCloud hit ‘Oh Lord’

If there’s anything about rising Texas talent Iayze to take note of, it’s his ability to fully control any track he hops on.

Using his voice as a tool to break boundaries and genres, the 18-year-old singer-rapper’s come-up has been coupled with an unmatched work ethic — releasing a total of eight projects in 2021 and a handful of singles to start off the new year. Amassing just over 45,000 Spotify monthly listeners to date, it’s only up from here for Iayze.

Oh Lord” has not only become a moment for the underground sensation’s in his recent string of drops, but further proves his buzzing star power through and through. Sharing the visual to his top 10 SoundCloud hit this week (Jan. 14), Iayze is seen cruising in the backseat of his whip and cooking up in the studio over “Oh Lord’s” ethereal pluggnb production.

Directed by JMoney1401 and edited by 88Lamim, the trio puts together an immersive, dark visual representation of Iayze’s unearthed and woozy soundscape. Sounding as if you’re driving through a tunnel in cruise control, the teen phenom’s hypnotic vocals and downtrodden bars display both his quality and poise as an all-around enigma.

Linking up with DotCom Nirvan for the visual to “On The Prowl” off his December EP Red Faction, Nirvan offered more flowers to Iayze on Twitter recently, saying that he “is a super duper star.” A co-sign from the coveted underground director has become a beaming accomplishment for new wave talent, as Nirvan assumes the tastemaker role Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett once held — putting on for the brightest up-and-coming acts.

The pair also looks to be working on the visual to Iayze’s other top 10 SoundCloud track “C’Mere.” As the song continues to popularity as a sound on TikTok, Nirvan and Iayze are a can’t miss duo when it comes to curating an otherworldly vibe.

Along with “Oh Lord’s” visual release, Iayze also put out all of his SoundCloud loosies on YouTube — compiling them in the fourth edition of his “The Leek” series. Prepping to put these tracks on all digital platforms in the near future, Iayze is well on his way to become the new wave’s next breakout artist.
