J. Cole announces ‘The Off-Season Tour’ with 21 Savage, special guest Morray

J Cole Tour: “My Life” trio links up again for tour starting in September.

J. Cole is hitting the road again for his sixth album The Off-Season — which released in May and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling a total 282,000 first-week units. Five songs from the album debuted in the top-10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with the highest being “My Life,” featuring 21 Savage and Morray, which peaked at No. 2.

Cole has not toured or performed since 2018, for his album KOD. The openers for that tour included Young Thug, Jaden, and EARTHGANG. In 2015, he brought Big Sean, YG, and Jeremih with him for his “Forest Hills Drive” tour. So, Cole is no stranger to bringing high caliber stars on the road with him.

21 Savage and Cole are starting to build chemistry as well, as Cole was featured on 21 Savage’s December 2018 album I Am > I Was for their smash hit “A Lot.” Savage was shown in the promotional documentary for The Off-Season working in the studio with Cole, as Cole spoke about how much he respects 21 in the intro to his verse on “A Lot.”

Yeah, I just came from the A

I drove back home, six-hour drive, six-and-a-half

Before I left I stopped by to see my nigga 21 in the studio

He had two of his kids with him right in the studio, that’s when I knew

You a stand up nigga, I love seein’ shit like that

Morray and J. Cole also have ties both being from Fayetteville, North Carolina. When Morray‘s hit single “Quicksand” began gaining traction in 2020, J. Cole boosted the song on Instagram.

Now, the trio gears up for tour in the fall. Not only that, J. Cole announced that Dreamville Festival will be taking place for the first time since 2019, in April 2022. The lineup will be released later, but it is certain that Cole will be hitting the stage several times in the near future.
