Amid one of the best years in music, JID’s The Forever Story and Smino’s long-awaited Luv 4 Rent (Oct. 28) have been two of hip-hop’s most anticipated albums in 2022.
Both of these beloved poets are delivering LPs that will end or have ended their respective three-year droughts, and they figured their returns are cause for celebration.
On Tuesday (Oct. 11), the newfound duo announced that they will be headlining a joint North American tour to start in 2023. The “Luv Is 4Ever” tour will hit 32 dates from January to March, and stop in over 20 states and three Canadian provinces.
Although they’ve likely made a handful of festival appearances during their absences, neither of these artists have participated in a tour since the COVID-19 outbreak. With TFS being one of the most impressive projects in 2022 and Smino sure to join in the AOTY conversation with Luv 4 Rent, this tour is rightfully going to be one for the ages, especially considering Smino literally tweeted that it would be “tour of the decade” on Monday (Oct. 10).
