Joey Bada$$ and KayCyy go global with “Passports & Suitcases.”
The Brooklyn native and the YZY Sound disciple create a woozy sonic world on their first-ever collaboration — evidently mirroring the early morning vibes of an airport.

R&B Joey is back in his bag, promising that a R&B record would be next in line stemming from his 2023 single “Fallin.” “Passports & Suitcases” fits the same vibe as the former, where KayCyy’s ethereal vocals tie together contemplative verses from the BADMON.
While their link-up was from out of left field, it’s fitting of both artists’ new album aspirations in 2024. KayCyy has teased Never Been So Sure constantly over the past few months, sharing singles in”Laugh When You Cry,” “SUMMERS NOT OVER” with Kaytranada and a slew of others on SoundCloud. Expect KayCyy’s debut album later this year.
The 2000 rapper’s path to a new album is on ice at this time. Coinciding a soft-sung appearance on Lyrical Lemonade’s “FALLOUT” earlier this month, Bada$$ assured fans that they’d “eat good” all of 2024.
