Johan Lenox isn’t ready to grow up on his newest single

Classical composer turned popstar Johan Lenox is innovating his own sound, composing and arranging beautiful instrumentals with a live orchestra behind him.

His latest effort “Get My Shit Together” is an atmospheric testament to Lenox’s refined talent, enlisting Tennessee-born SoundCloud legend Thouxanbanfauni for some melancholy storytelling.

“And I don’t think I’ll ever get my shit together

People say, “Get a place, go get laid”

I don’t really even feel the pressure

Save the date, don’t be late, getting married on the fourth of never

Maybe this is for the better

Maybe I’ma be alone forever

But I don’t think I’ll ever get my shit together”

Johan Lenox — “Get My Shit Together“ feat. Thouxanbanfauni

Lenox’s arrangement of strings intrinsically complements his melodic protest to the concept of maturity, as he croons about his inability to grow up. As the instrumental simplifies itself, Fauni chimes in with his own cyclical experiences in life, dropping some of his most introspective bars to date with an elegantly poetic flow.

Visuals for the track continue Johan’s concept of dark, brooding skies — evoking the feeling of desperation that plagues our generation, yet also providing a sense of comfort knowing everyone also has them.

As his upcoming full-length release What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up approaches, Johan continues to impress with each track, previously releasing singles with Lancey Foux, Ant Clemons, RMR and Cousin Stizz.

In such an overpopulated industry, it is difficult to find the level of originality Lenox provides with his genre-bending approach to music. Utilizing his unique sound and variety of high-profile collaborations, Johan Lenox is destined for stardom, inching closer to his goal with authenticity and grace.
