Kanye West Face: Similar to the Yeezus era, West’s use of face covers could mean he has music on the way.
In 2020, Kanye West announced to the world — and his die-hard fans — that his tenth studio album Donda would release July 24. Ahead of the album, he posted a since-deleted tweet of a snippet of the song “Donda,” where his late mother Donda West ushers in a typical West flow about his religion, racism and calling out to his mother for help.
While album was slated to release in the summer of last year, West continued to post different tracklists to Twitter in preparation for the drop that seemingly never came.

In typical Kanye West fashion, the album actually never released, although he briefly kept hope alive by tweeting out the album’s cover a day after the supposed release.

Since then, however, West has collaborated with artists Ty Dolla $ign for his album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, SAINt JHN for his album While The World Was Burning and released single “Nah Nah Nah” in October, where DaBaby and 2Chainz hopped on the remix in November.

Not much would come out about Donda again until March, when frequent collaborator CyHi The Prynce said that they were back working on the album after a hiatus.

In May, Kanye West was seen with hip-hop stars like Playboi Carti, Travis Scott and Future, where all the photos of them show him wearing a face covering like the one he wore to DMX’s funeral service in late April.
Future and Scott both covered their faces like West did, so they are seemingly on the same page about something. In fact, in Travis Scott’s most recent Instagram post, he posted a selfie wearing the same mask West had been wearing up until then. The face covering shows a depiction of Christian figure Jesus Christ, in accordance with Kanye West’s passion for Christianity as seen with his latest album JESUS IS KING and his Sunday Service choir performances.
This is not the first time West has shown an infatuation with wearing masks in public. While touring for his 2013 album Yeezus, he gained attention for dawning several different Mason Margiela masks on stage.

While this certainly is not a guarantee that this mask-phase will lead to new music, there is supporting evidence that this may be the case. Rapper KayCyy, who has been reportedly involved in West’s recording sessions for the new album, confirmed that the album is still intended to release.

KayCyy confirms that DONDA/LP10 is dropping. We're curious if it will still keep that title from this confirmation or there will be a different title for LP10.

Until any official word comes from Kanye West, we are left piecing together clues to figure out when and if West will drop an album in the future. But, as long as he continues to walk around with his face fully covered, the speculation will not halt.
