Kanye continues to roll out his highly anticipated 11th studio album ‘DONDA’ — still without saying a word, showing his face or leaving Mercedes-Benz stadium.
While DONDA has been confirmed for release Aug. 6, there seems to be more in store for fans who weren’t able to make Ye’s first Atlanta listening party.
Reports circled Friday that Kanye was planning on hosting DONDA’s second listening event Thursday, Aug. 5, saying that his team was reportedly “brainstorming” ideas. DONDA’s listening experience was later confirmed by Ye’s team via press release.

Within the latest development of Kanye’s latest chapter, he still has yet to speak on his own behalf — remaining mute and masked, letting everyone else do the talking. He also has yet to leave Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, setting up temporary residence after the first listening party July 22 — complete with a personal living quarters, a private chef and has created a studio space to assure DONDA is completed in its entirety.
Additionally, the Apple Music livestream of the event broke Apple Music’s global livestream record, as West’s presence brought forth a divine sense of anticipation as the spectacle waged on.
West stood stone cold at stadium center — donning a mask and all red outfit — as he unveiled his project before all those watching. Fans took to social media not only excited for DONDA’s impending release, but also to catch their first glimpse at Kanye in over a year.

It didn’t feel like a performance, but rather a congregation. The Kanye effect is alive and well — encapsulating all of music in just under a week. The Chicago-bred rapper has not said a single word during DONDA’s roll-out, further proving West’s power and status among his contemporaries.
During the listening party, features in Pusha T, Travis Scott, Baby Keem, Playboi Carti, Jay-Z and others were heard throughout Ye’s set. More features are sure to be officially credited upon DONDA’s release, as The Weeknd is reported to be the latest edition to the album.

Let’s face it, this is just signature Kanye. And his fans will wait patiently until he — and only he — decides that it is ready for the masses.
Reminder that on top of #DONDA’s release this week, Abstract Mindstate are dropping their album "Dreams Still Inspire", which is entirely produced by @KanyeWest + includes a Kanye feature. pic.twitter.com/Sp1IFFCxdb

Everything we know about Kanye West’s ‘DONDA’
Kanye West’s mythical project DONDA is finally happening after all.
West had teased DONDA exactly one year ago with a slew of tweets, dropping the album’s cover art and posting a series of scribbled track lists on notepads and whiteboards.
On Sunday, the rapper’s highly-anticipated album was seemingly confirmed for release by multiple sources — complementing a pair of listening parties, an expected Rolling Loud performance and a Beats By Dre commercial aired during Game 6 of the NBA finals.
West’s label at Def Jam Recordings confirmed Tuesday that DONDA will be officially released Friday, July 23 — immediately following the Apple Beats ad starring Olympic sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson. The ad featured a new track titled “No Child Left Behind” off West’s forthcoming release.

The first of these “Kanye events” was held at the ChurchLV in Las Vegas Sunday (July 18). The second listening party will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta Thursday (July 22). There will also be an accompanying live stream of the Atlanta listening party exclusively available for Apple Music users.

While cell phones were banned from the Las Vegas event, it wasn’t long before videos surfaced online of Ye performing the project. According to attendees, Baby Keem, Travis Scott, Griselda, Pusha T, Post Malone, Playboi Carti and others are rumored to be featured on the album.
West himself has yet to officially comment on anything surrounding the album’s release, however, he’s been active on his Instagram account posting new photos leading up to DONDA’s release.

In addition to DONDA’s predicted release, Ye also has a production credit on Lil Nas X’s upcoming single “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow. Nas X announced the track coincidentally in line with West’s recent endeavors, all strengthening his case to drop July 23.

Initially seen playing Tyler, The Creator new music in a video by Consequence, fans couldn’t help but notice more scribbled writing on the whiteboard behind them — presumably being an updated track list for his impending release.
In the clip, Ye played a snippet of a song from his chair, donning a hoodie and face covering which has been reported to be an inkling for his latest era. It could also be possible Tyler is involved in Ye’s production of DONDA, but fans will have to wait and see.
West also appeared to show this new music to Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant and popular social media personality Justin Laboy — who took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the album pre-release.

Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. Man listen! The production is light years ahead of it’s time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again. Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back 😤 #Respectfully

This wouldn’t be the first time West has promised an album that may or may not release, however, DONDA truly seems to be in sight.
Here’s hoping Ye keeps his word this time around.

Every Kanye album rollout has been vastly different from the last. He hasn't publicly said a word about it and is showing up everywhere with a mask on. Everyone else is doing the talking for him.
