Nardo Wick drops ‘Me Or Sum’ visual off debut album ‘Who Is Nardo Wick’

Nardo Wick has become a force to be reckoned with heading into the new year.

With a growing catalog of catchy singles and a signature style that continues to bolster his standing in the industry, listeners can finally take in his debut project Who Is Nardo Wick.

Dropping his first full-length tape on Dec. 3, the Florida native gifted listeners with the visual to “Me Or Sum” with Future and Lil Baby two months later to keep appearances — further defining a new level of creativity to “murder music.” Additional appearances from Hit-Boy, Lekyah and BIG30 provide a little extra flavor, but for the most part this project is all Wick doing his thing.

At 18 tracks, his low monotone delivery fits perfectly over ominous instrumentals, as he displays a fresh outlook on a genre pioneered by the likes of 21 Savage and Metro Boomin. Dropping the Pulp Fiction-inspired visual to “Wicked Witch” on Dec. 6, Nardo resides in a space all his own — curating a unique sound that continues to capture the masses.

Consistently proving his ability to recruit hip-hop’s biggest and brightest stars, Nardo’s recent success comes off the massive virality of “Who Want Smoke??” The murderous track features a slew of quotable hooks as well as stellar feature verses from 21 Savage, G Herbo and Lil Durk.

While “Who Want Smoke??” continues to make waves for the culture, the attention it has received has seemingly turned the track into a ravenous debate topic. Over 50 students from two separate high schools in Chicago and Tennessee were recently suspended over a challenge inspired by the vicious crew track.

According to Complex, school officials claimed that their use of the song as well as showing “pretend guns” and gang signs was a violation of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Despite the unfortunate nature of the song’s popularity, it is impressive to see Nardo doing such big numbers so early in his career. Along with other solo singles in “Pull Up” with Nick Mira and “Shhh,” Nardo is destined for greatness in one or another, as fans evidently find out Who Is Nardo Wick on his debut effort.
