Kenny Mason, Paris Texas, AG Club, ICECOLDBISHOP lead in ‘See You Next Year 2’

See You Next Year starts in the new year for Pigeons & Planes and Big.Ass.Kids.

Offering their debut compilation album featuring Teezo Touchdown (“roses”), redveil (“Float”), Fana Hues (“Drive”) and more in 2022, Pigeons has become an innovator in this space. At the intersection of hip-hop, alternative and indie lies See You Next Year 2, announced with the release of its lead single “BIG BANK” on Jan. 12 featuring Kenny Mason and Paris Texas — one of the “best collabs of 2023.”

The record is slated for release on March 29 and will feature the aforementioned Kenny Mason, Paris Texas, Skaiwater, AG Club, ICECOLDBISHOP, Junior Varsity, among many others. Interestingly, it was recorded at the iconic Shangri-La Studio owned by the legendary producer Rick Rubin.

Continuing the rollout, the record’s second single “How To Cry” with AG Club and ICECOLDBISHOP dropped on Feb. 9 — bringing forth an emotive, alt-ballad catered to all rappers’ strengths.

Kenny Mason and Paris Texas have become of the most sought-after duos in recent years. Amid full-length albums in Texas’ MID-AIR and Mason’s forthcoming 9, “BIG BANK” (produced by Billy Lemos) is a synth-heavy alt-rap stunner that displays all three rappers’ breadth of talent.

With punchy verses and an infectious yet succinct hook, the track weaves seamlessly between captivating cadences and melancholic drawls — much like the suspense of a high-energy heist. “Man oh man, Louie, Kenny and Felix do it again,” PT told us. “Doing chemistry in Shangri-La almost made that bitch blow up.”

As anticipation builds towards See You Next Year 2, Big.Ass.Kids continues to assert its place as a shining light for independent artists — providing a platform for emerging talent redefining musical boundaries. With “BIG BANK” and “HOW TO CRY” we’re at the cusp of a new chapter.
