SAINt JHN makes his triumphant return on ‘The Best Part of Life’

The ultra-talented SAINt JHN wowed listeners at the end of 2020 with his album While The World Was Burning last November.

Despite 2021 being relatively quiet for the Brooklyn-bred superstar, JHN ultimately ended his year with a bang, dropping his latest single “The Best Part of Life” (Dec. 17). Coming just in time for the holiday season, JHN looks to begin prepping fans for more music and potentially another full-length project looming in the near future.

Since While The World Was Burning’s release, JHN seemingly watched it go up in flames from the sidelines while planning his return to music. With features from some of our generation’s favorite artists like Ye, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, JID, 6LACK and more, the project has been a gleaming highlight in his concept-driven discography. While short on solo work, he managed to make an appearance alongside SZA on the soundtrack for Space Jam.

Keeping things in his wheelhouse, JHN’s catchy melodies and a refined vocal versatility allow him to float over the record’s swiftly swooning production. Speaking on the initial selling points of falling in love, JHN sticks to his “skull-centric” concept as two skeleton lovers stand side-by-side and are set ablaze.

Who scared?

Who really afraid of where this goes?

Even though I know how it ends up, ain’t nobody scared

I put my hand up in the air

You put your heart up in the air

You gave it to me, made it very clear

This is the ride of your life, I’m excited

I’m happy that it’s private, I’m ready, babe

Don’t gotta tell me how you like it, I’m psychic

I know just how you like it in every way

Saint JHN — “The Best Part Of Life” (verse)

While his hit track “Roses” still garners massive amounts of plays two years after its release, his latest “The Best Part Of Life” truly depicts life’s most delicate form of happiness: love.
