Fresh off the release of her new EP, If Orange Was A Place, Nigerian singer Tems recently sat down with the Guardian to discuss her rapid ascent to fame.
Her recent collaboration with Drake on Certified Lover Boy’s “Fountains” has not only skyrocketed her popularity, but is seeing her receive much deserved support from both fans and her peers.
In the interview, she alludes to another collaboration from Drake on her upcoming, unnamed album. While listeners continue to wait for more new music from the Nigerian starlet, If Orange Was A Place is a riveting juxtaposition of Tems’ idolization of her culture and the sounds found within it.
Along with another Drizzy collab in the works, a wholesome video has surfaced of Tems and Drake hanging out — showcasing their genuine friendship amid making music together. Their interactions seem more like they are fans of each other rather than solely pure business.

Initially collaborating with WizKid on “Essence,” the global megastar has served as a “big brother” to her in her early career, with their single recently receiving a Justin Bieber remix.
