The Kid LAROI announces hiatus in preparation for debut album

The fact that 18-year-old enigma The Kid LAROI has skyrocketed to superstardom in only two years is just another testament to his generational talent.

Initially signing with Juice WRLD’s label Grade A Productions, the Australian-born singer-rapper has evidently broke out as one of the biggest pop stars music has seen since Justin Bieber. Now recently signing to Bieber’s label with Scooter Braun, LAROI’s latest work F*CK LOVE 3 (which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200) capped off the mixtape trilogy that’s allowed him to flourish in the spotlight.

With chart-topping hits in “WITHOUT YOU,” “STAY,” “STILL CHOSE YOU” and many others, LAROI’s mainstream appeal is not due to his age or star-studded collaborations — it’s rooted by his uniquely raspy voice and breathtaking range unbound by genre.

Alongside releasing the visual for “Still Chose You” with Mustard this past week (Nov. 15), Laroi revealed a heartfelt letter to his fans, thanking them for their continued support as he continues to make his mark in the industry. In the typewriter-clad letter, he divulged that he will be taking some time away from social media to focus on his highly-anticipated debut album.

His latest project served as the finale to the F*** Love trilogy, bringing together tracks with Polo G, G Herbo, Lil Durk, NBA YoungBoy, MGK, Marshmello, Juice WRLD and more. “WITHOUT YOU” also received a remix from Miley Cyrus, cementing Laroi’s status in the music industry.

Though it seems we won’t be hearing much from LAROI in the near future, this break is sure to result in a fantastic new era for the breakaway superstar.
