When 00 and XO link, it’s “TIMELESS.”
Following the release of The Weeknd’s “final” album, HURRY UP TOMORROW, Abel and Playboi Carti have announced a joint stadium tour with Mike Dean. Slated for this summer (May 9 — Sept. 3), the tour announcement coincides a special digital deluxe of HUT, which is set to include bonus tracks from the inimitable Abel-Carti duo.
You may notice that Playboi Carti isn’t listed to perform for the Los Angeles dates on the 26-date trek. However, he’s set to headline Rolling Loud California on March 15-16, and maybe The Weeknd pulls up with him (just like at Camp Flog Gnaw). Pre-sale for the tour begins on Feb. 6 through CashApp.
Inside the 00XO bundle experience, along with yet-to-be-released bonus tracks, six exclusive 00XO merch and CD bundles are now available for pre-order purchase. You were able enter the site here with this password (TH33NDI5N34R), but now it’s locked.
Originally set for release on Friday (Jan. 24), The Weeknd had delayed the last album of his new trilogy out of respect for those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. Cancelling his HUT show at the Rose Bowl on Jan. 25, as well as pushing back the album by one week, allowed Abel to raise greater awareness to support efforts in Los Angeles.
HURRY UP TOMORROW is the final chapter of The Weeknd’s career-long arc, holding 22 tracks and features from Travis Scott, Future, Lana Del Rey, Anita and, of course, Playboi Carti. “TIMELESS” is the only track that appears on HUT, as the previously-debuted “Lose You / I Rather Lie” will be on Carti’s album, according to Rolling Loud.
Amid this news, though, I AM MUSIC is still nowhere to be seen. However, dropping “Blick Sum” with Latto earlier this week, there’s hope that Carti can still deliver MUSIC in 2025.
