WATCH: Ski Mask The Slump God, Cole Bennett connect on iPhone visual ‘Alien Sex’

‘Tis the season of giving and Lyrical Lemonade just gifted fans a special holiday treat.

Linking up with Ski Mask The Slump God for a surprise music video for “Alien Sex,” Cole Bennett and company continue to outdo themselves on every new release.

Striving to create immersive, cleanly-shot videos on an iPhone, “Alien Sex’s” uniqueness is on full display throughout, with Bennett even saying he had to “bring back 2017 vibes” to Ski’s sound and image. The LL founder previously used an iPhone for Lil Yachty’s “YAE ENERGY” video which released in November, utilizing the same tactic for Ski’s surprise release.

Whenever Cole and Ski collaborate for a video, fans can always expect something truly special. The director, rapper duo have a powerful bond and have been making videos together for over four years — combining for an impressive 430 million views and counting across YouTube.

“Alien Sex” is certainly something out of this world. Ski brings an enormous amount of intensity while showcasing his one-of-a-kind, hyper-speed flow, and unique lyrical choices. The song features a beat switch-up around the 40-second mark, drastically changing to waning, otherworldly-sounding synths and instrumentals.

This that hold your breath (Breath), cardiac arrest (‘Rest)

They say that my music sound like alien sex (Water!)

Alien sex (Wet), I am not impressed (Ha-ha)

Well, if you must confess, better say it with your chest (Yuh)

Ski Mask The Slump God – “Alien Sex”

The visuals for “Alien Sex” match Ski’s energy on the track perfectly. Fans find the classic Lyrical Lemonade colors, quick transitions and loud animations. The visuals showcase plenty of close-up shots of Ski hitting weights, drowning in a pool of alien blow-up dolls, and simply him parading around Chicago’s downtown loop.

At the end of the video, Cole brings in some fun facts about the song, as well as the video and its correlation to previous shot LL videos. Cole also informed fans that a “Catch Me Outside Pt. 2” is on the way.

The Broward County legend has been somewhat quiet since the release of his 2018 album Stokeley — dropping only one single in 2019 (Carbonated Water) and in 2020 (Burn The Hoods). Also featured on a handful of tracks from DJ Scheme’s 2020 compilation tape Family, come 2021, Ski decided to pick up the pace with the release of his fire-powered mixtape Sin City. Recently, he connected with Oliver Tree, Trippie Redd and Cole Bennett for the remix to Tree’s viral hit “Life Goes On,” putting Ski in the spotlight for new music in the near future.

This is a step in the right direction for Ski and a great way to end the year and kick-off 2022. Given that Ski has lost two very close friends in recent years, it seems as though he’s eased his way back into the grind, as fans are extremely eager and excited for new music from the Florida legend.
