While Yeat is known for his world-building, his latest performance took it completely out of this world.
Over the weekend (March 1), the “5BRAZY” rapper made history, becoming the first-ever rap artist to perform inside the famed Las Vegas Sphere. The structure boasts over 1.2 Million LED lights and 160,000 square feet of screens, and has hosted artists such as U2, The Eagles, Backstreet Boys and Anyma, among others.
Yeat’s set not only brought forth performances of 2093 and LYFESTYLE cuts, but a pair of new tracks as well. Revealing a new song titled “WORK” with electronic producer Anyma, the rapper’s been strategically teasing new music over the past week—seemingly building towards his next album release.
Both of his 2024 albums, LYFESTYLE and 2093, were his biggest projects to date—scoring No. 1 (his first-ever) and No. 2 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 respectively. The last we heard from Yeat was on BNYX’s debut single “GO AGAIN,” LYFESTYLE’s “GO2WORK” with longtime Slayworld collaborator Summrs and “5BRAZY” with Quavo back in November 2024.
As Yeat continues to thrust himself forward as one of (if not the most) innovative rappers of our generation, perhaps a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere is in the cards down the line.
