Anycia steals the show on debut album ‘PRINCESS POP THAT’

Anycia is impossible to miss, giving superstar aura at every corner of her come-up. Alongside other rising talents in Cash Cobain, Veeze and “Splash Brothers” collaborator KARRAHBOOO, the Atlanta native has carved out an undeniable lane for herself at the ATL’s next crowned queen–er, “princess.”

Sharing her debut album PRINCESS POP THAT on Friday (April 26), which features Cash, Karrah, Luh Tyler and Latto (“BACK OUTSIDE”), this is Anycia’s defining moment, plotting an even bigger 2024 with tons of new tunes ahead. Known for her laid-back, cool flows and low-tone swagger, Anycia’s vault is stacked with collabs, including close friend and Concrete Boys’ star KARRAHBOOO (who says a joint tape isn’t out of the cards).

“We both started making music sporadically, at the same time,” Anycia said. “We always supported each other… but me and Karrah got [a lot of songs]. That’s some whole other sh*t. Everybody look at us as ‘together,’ but right now, we’re focusing on ourselves. Our friendship is not based on music… when we come together, it’ll be as friends.”

Banking tracks with Cash, Veeze (who invited her to open on his nationwide GANGER tour) and fellow ATL native JID, it’s clear ANYCIA isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. She’s the it girl everyone else is chasing, leading an entire generation of women emcees to the forefront of the game.

As PRINCESS POP THAT settles into rotation, Anycia sat down with OGM host Hakeem Rowe to chop up her latest project, relationships with KARRAHBOOO, Cash Cobain, working with JID and Veeze, growing up in Atlanta and so much more in our latest Our Generation Music exclusive.
