There’s something in this “Florida Water” that breeds star talent, as Sunshine State natives Danny Towers, DJ Scheme, Ski Mask The Slump God and Luh Tyler link up for a down South anthem.
Towers’ new track “Florida Water” (Feb. 10) is a special posse cut. With menacing bells and cinematic melodies, Danny’s bars tower over his collaborators with stank face-inducing energy, as Luh Tyler jumps in quickly after — viscerating the infectious beat with his patented drowsy flow. Ski’s verse in the finale is in all parts enigmatic, showcasing the rapper’s frivolously-charged bars backed by a dirty cadence.

Scheme, the 26-year-old producer well known for his work alongside legends in XXXTENTACION and Juice WRLD, captains the “What To Do” rapper’s lead single ahead of his upcoming album. The star-powered cut is DJ Scheme’s first credit of 2023, following his collaborative track with Ted$zn entitled “Good” (2022).
Appearing for quick yet potent minute-long verse, Ski continues to pick up steam stemming from dropping his latest single “OOGA BOOGA!” last October. He was also featured on Trippie Redd’s massive album Mansion Musik in January.
The rookie on the track, Luh Tyler, currently has the industry in a chokehold. Off the back of tracks like “Back Flippin,” his smooth-flowing voice floats so natural he barely sounds like he’s 16 years old. Already sharing his second single of 2023 in “Dennis,” Luh Tyler is making big moves to become 2023’s Rookie Of The Year.
If “Florida Water” is any inclination for what’s next, expect Towers’ upcoming LP to feature more homegrown, powerhouse guests.
