Trippie Redd’s Mansion Musik came exactly as advertised — menacing, villainous and full of murderous anthems the emo-rap pioneer has been known for.
After months of anticipation, and previous reports of A Love Letter To You 5’s release last October, the 1400 rock-rapper dropped off his 25-track mixtape on Friday (Jan. 20) in place of the fifth — and final — iteration of ALLTY. Executive produced by Chief Keef, Redd recruits a slew of superstar talent on the project, which includes his close friend in the late Juice WRLD, Future, LUCKI, Travis Scott, Summrs, Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick and many more.
The lenghty tape is packed with seething electric guitar melodies, distorted synths and muddy 808s, with tracks like “KRZY TRAIN,” “KNIGHT CRAWLER,” “DIE DIE,” “GOODFELLAS,” “TOILET WATER” highlighting fans’ welcome into Trippie’s proverbial Mansion from Hell. It sold 55,000 first-week units and debuted seven total tracks on the US Spotify Chart. Redd now has the sixth most entries ever on the chart, totaling to 143.

Following “Big 14,” “Ain’t Safe” and a teaser two-pack, First Draft, ALLTY5’s release has been a long time coming. Since A Love Letter to You 4 dropped in November 2019, and its deluxe in February 2020, Trippie has put out five projects — three of which he shared in 2021 (Neon Shark vs Pegasus Presented By Travis Barker, Trip At Knight and Hate Is Dead). Now with MM holding fans over, it’s unclear when Trippie will drop its fifth installment.
Redd’s A Love Letter To You series is a testament to emo-rap’s influence in modern hip-hop, as the Ohio-bred emcee sits rightfully on the throne as one of the genre’s pioneers alongside XXXTENTACION, Lil Peep, Ski Mask and Juice WRLD. Its fourth installment sold 104,000 first-week units, earning a No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top 200.
While Redd has largely evolved from his SoundCloud roots, MM assures fans he isn’t staying far from rap’s current wave.
