Trippie Redd, Don Toliver link on ‘Ain’t Safe’ ahead of ALLTY5

A Love Letter To You 5 is fast approaching, as Trippie Redd and Don Toliver have joined forces for their first collaborative track “Ain’t Safe” on Friday (Oct. 28).

Two of hip-hop’s prominent A-listers — despite having their own unique style — have arguably some of the most distinctive vocals in all of the genre. While Toliver is known for his ethereal, transporting vocals found all over his latest album Life Of A Don, Redd’s tenacity and angsty register ultimately provide him with an edge synonymous to his sound.

“Ain’t Safe” takes fans on a melodic journey filled with the flair and electricity of both Trippie and Donny T. Throughout the track, each artist seamlessly harmonizes over the saxophone and piano-led instrumental, while effortlessly altering their verses to create a smooth-tuned track with addictive melodies. “Ain’t Safe” is perfect for spooky season, as the ominous, hard-hitting beat plays into the seasonal mood that both Don and Trippie naturally reside in.

“N*gga this shit ain’t safe

Cartier ice the face

Pouring a four of the drank

Moving around in a tank

Diamonds they water they wet like a lake”

Trippie Redd and Don Toliver — “Ain’t Safe”

Previously sharing “Big 14” with Moneybagg Yo and Offset, as well as his Love Letter two-pack First Draft, “Ain’t Safe” seems to be the fourth offering ahead of ALLTY5, which was reportedly supposed to drop this month. However, it looks as if Redd is still readying the record for fans — hopefully aiming for a November or late December release.

While Trip preps his long-awaited project, nobody is safe when he and Donny T trade verses. Here’s hoping there’s more music from these two in the future.
