KA$HDAMI rises from the ashes in new visual for ‘Phoenix’

New wave leader KA$HDAMI has been flooding the streets with singles after a stellar 2021.

Following the catchy “posed to be” in March, his ethereal return to the limelight continues with yet another pluggnb banger. With his boisterous LP Hypernova featuring Trippie Redd behind him, Dami dropped off his second single of the year in “Phoenix” on April 29 and its coinciding visual on Saturday (May 20).

Produced by Internet Money’s CXDY, “Phoenix” sees the newcomer float over a slow, atmospheric instrumental as he spits an addictive verse with tons of melody and vocal variation. Showing his prowess as a defining factor for the pluggnb movement, Dami wastes no time on the two-minute track — overlapping his vocals with relentless bars about his stacks, his trendsetter persona and even shouts out new wave compatriot Bktherula.

“She wanna know what I stack and I told that ho B.K

Shawty said I got the ruler but shoutout to BK

Hopping on my wave, nigga, you too late

I’m in the stu’ right now, might pour up a duece

Damn, nigga, you a ho and you know it”

The visual is equally as enticing, as DAMI stumbles upon and snoops through a Pharoah’s tomb in the depths of a pyramid. Between “Phoenix,” “posed2be” and a few SoundCloud loosies including “uvsme,” the DMV star isn’t letting off the gas anytime soon. After dropping two albums in 2021, Dami is sure to continue his hustle with consistency and quality on his upcoming project.

With collaborations from Whethan and sgpwes, KA$HDAMI is steadily growing his discography to further strengthen his status as one of the leaders of the underground. Time will tell what the young emcee’s next move is, but surely something big is coming soon.
