At this point, it has essentially become a right of passage for any Young Stoner Life rapper to join British vocalist and YSL affiliate Millie Go Lightly for a collaboration.
Now living in Atlanta, Millie first linked with her cross-town YSL counterparts by landing on Young Thug‘s 2017 BEAUTIFUL THUGGER GIRLS album for the songs “Family Don’t Matter” and “She Wanna Party.” Nearly five years later, she has cooked up melodic magic with YSL signees like Lil Gotit multiple times, Unfoonk and now Lil Keed for the second time.
On March 30, her and Keed dropped their new single “Ocean Deep,” which sees each of their high-pitched crooning tendencies align without a hitch. Millie’s sensual “diving in my ocean deep” hook continues to assert the notion that she may be at her most successful over trap drums.
Produced by Go Grizzly, famed for work with DaBaby like “Baby Sitter” and Lil Durk like “Still Trappin’ (feat. King Von),” “Ocean Deep” sees Keed’s elite ability to use his squeaky rapping to match the theme of his bars with the erotic chorus provided by Millie.
