YoungBoy Never Broke Again refuses to let up. Whether it be diss tracks, collaborative albums, mixtapes or YouTube exclusive singles, the Louisiana native continues to prove why “YB Better.”
Since his October 2021 release on bond from jail, YoungBoy has released four projects, including his November Never Broke Again label compilation tape, his December collaborative album with idol Birdman, his January Colors mixtape and a brand new March joint project with DaBaby, BETTER THAN YOU. This four-peat directly followed his stellar comeback album Sincerely, Kentrell, which dropped just a couple weeks before his release and replaced Drake at the Billboard 200 No. 1 spot.
In the midst of this explosion of releases, YB has stuck to his YouTube roots where he has built most of his cult fanbase. Three days after dropping YouTube exclusive single “safe then sorry” in November, YoungBoy inexplicably wiped his YouTube page of all his content, leaving fans scratching their head. He would then make his grand return to the platform around Christmas time with provocative single “Emo Rockstar,” where he debuted a trendy face makeup look.
Now, while dealing with a beef with Gucci Mane thanks to his recent diss track aimed at many of rap’s elite, YB is getting back to the basics. On Monday (March 14), he released his fresh YouTube exclusive single “I Got The Bag,” as the song culminates all the recent sonics and vocal practices YoungBoy has mastered in the past few months.
Over the slick guitar loop, YB’s poised approach sees him employ an expansive arsenal of flow switches. Fans have always gravitated towards his ability to flip-flop from effortless rapping to anguished harmonies, as his emotion is felt through his tone.
On “I Got The Bag,” however, instead of his typical downtrodden song topics over production of this manner, YoungBoy uses the track to flex his lavish lifestyle while his glistening chains sit on top of his stylish hockey and basketball jerseys.

As with most of YB’s YouTube releases, “I Got The Bag” quickly reached “No. 1 Trending For Music” on the platform. Looking forward, YB does not plan on even tapping the brakes any time soon, as he recently revealed a fiery unreleased track for his fans.
NBA YoungBoy has been in a comfortable groove for the past several months, proving that quality and quantity can tend to get along when it comes from the right artist.
