SoFaygo shares secret SoundCloud album ‘BABYJACK’

Just one month after dropping B4PINK — the 5-track teaser tape ahead of his debut album Pink Heartz SoFaygo continues to feed his fan base with or without label approval.

Sharing a “leaked” 10-track project titled BABYJACK on Thursday (July 14), the unexpected mixtape was initially brought to light by SoundCloud’s official Twitter account. Rumored to be an inside leak from Faygo’s management (who presumably have control over prettyboyarchive), he seems to have taken a page out of Trippie Redd’s book — dropping his underground exclusive tape Hate Is Dead under the SoundCloud account hrnzhunter in December 2021.

While SoFaygo’s Twitter bio currently states “BABY JACK” — inadvertently confirming the tape’s existence on SoundCloud — these claims are currently unconfirmed by Faygo and his camp. However, for a 10-pack of leaks to be promoted by the platform holding them is wildly uncanny.

Nevertheless, BABYJACK is a stronger dose of the Cactus Jack signee’s new era — blowing B4PINK out of the water entirely. The 2022 XXL Freshman effortlessly flows over early tape favorites in “SO GONE,” “GNARLY” and “EASY,” as Faygo’s close collaborator Bakkwoods captains a majority of the production on the project.

There’s also a sound bite of Faygo speaking on the essence of his forthcoming debut. “Pink Heartz is the youth. [It’s] young n—a music. Pink Heartz is the future,” SoFaygo opens on “NO TIME” — leading in BABYJACK’s vibe with otherworldly synths and transcendent melodies consistent with his previous work. While similar sonically, there’s a different, more focused aura surrounding BABYJACK compared to anything else he’s put out thus far. The energy, poise and presence Faygo possesses on other highlights in “3AM IN NORWAY” and “REMAIN THE SAME” are the epitome of the 20-year-old emcee’s artistry — thriving in the spotlight and living in the moment admittedly through the lens of his rising stardom.

Amid the release of BABYJACK, Faygo also shared the visual to “Count Me Out” on Tuesday (July 12). As fans take in the new video — and waft through this new batch of tracks — here’s hoping this pleasant surprise didn’t spoil any SoFaygo’s plans for Pink Heartz later this year.
