Chicago-based artist Famous Dex has been in the spotlight for quite some time. Touting a plethora of platinum-certified tracks, pristine collaborations and a style all his own, Dexter has evidently become a Swiss army knife of sounds — assimilating into many different waves of hip-hop over the years.
As a major player a part of the Chicago rap scene, alongside artists in Chief Keef, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, and G Herbo, Dex also played a huge role in the initial SoundCloud era, earning multiple platinum-selling tracks like “Japan” and “Pick It Up.” Dex would often collaborate with artists like Trippie Redd, RichTheKid, Jay Critch, Quavo, and many others throughout this time, until his mental health took a turn for the worst.
As far as 2021 goes, Famous Dex has been, for the most part, quiet. He’s released a couple of singles here and there but has been primarily focusing on his mental and physical health, as well as his substance abuse.

In “Beehive,” we find an outwardly happy Dexter bringing forth an excess amount of energy. Flowing effortlessly throughout the track, the song only sits at just over a minute-and-a-half, as Dex is still able to display his swift flow and extremely addictive hooks that’ll keep fans coming back for more.
