Gucci Mane is unstoppable continuing 1017’s album run

1017 has been relentless in their releases over the past year, as Atlanta legend Gucci Mane paves the way for a new generation of up-and-coming talent.

His latest LP, So Icy Gang: The ReUp, is a whopping 32 tracks long and features the likes of Quavo, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, Pooh Shiesty, Big Scarr, Latto, BIG30 and many more. The 1017 head honcho appears on 24 of those tracks — leaving plenty of room for his rising label signees to catch some of the limelight.

Gucci has been nonstop these last few years, dropping off three label compilations prior to The ReUp. Along with his most recent solo effort Ice Daddy, Gucci and company are turning up the heat just in time for summer — melting the competition away just like their 2021 LP So Icy Boyz.

Two frequent collaborators of Guwop, Big Scarr and BIG30, also were named to XXL’s 2022 Freshman Class alongside KayCyy, Doecchii, SoFaygo, Cochise, Babyface Ray, BabyTron, Saucy Santana and more, as both represent Memphis’ signature street sound.

Since the release of the album, Gucci Mane dropped off the music video for his collaboration with Quavo and Yung Miami, turning up with both artists as they rap “First Impressions.”

Now that another compilation album from the “Icy” emcee has landed with fans, Gucci Mane has sworn upcoming solo ventures from all of his artists in the future — promising a heavy 1017 presence from here on out.
