“All Girls Are The Same” was the catalyst for Juice WRLD‘s stratospheric rise to stardom. Now seven years later, and with the “final” Juice WRLD Day and album The Party Never Ends fast approaching (out Nov. 29), everything comes full circle on “All Girls Are The Same 2 (Insecure).”
Featuring Nicki Minaj (who co-headlined the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2018 with him and teased a long-lost collab together promoting the deluxe of Pink Friday 2) and backing vocals from Halsey, there’s few similarities between the original “AGATS” and its sequel.
Opening with a familiar refrain, “I admit it, another ho got me finished,” Juice raps about the plights of rockstar at the height of his power. “This is a brand new song,” Minaj revealed on Instagram, as Nicki echoes Juice’s vulnerability on the interpolated instrumental produced by Louis Bell (Death Race For Love, WRLD ON DRUGS). “Insecure” shines with fleeting melodies and distorted bass, as Juice’s new hook is a foretold fortune that cries out for help: “Your insecurities will get the best of me.”
This is the latest track in a long line of late-Juice efforts, most recently dropping The Pre-Party EP and appearing on Ski Mask The Slump God’s new album 11th Dimension. “Lace It,” “The Light,” “Face 2 Face” and others preceded The Pre-Party’s surprise release. Juice’s two posthumous albums, Legends Never Die and Fighting Demons, were both commercially embraced and beloved by fans, earning No. 1 and No. 2 debuts on the Billboard 200 respectively.
“All Girls Are The Same” is nearing Diamond eligibility alongside his other breakout hit “Lucid Dreams.” Since its release in 2017, “AGATS” has been RIAA-certified 8x Platinum, racking up over 1 Billion streams on Spotify alone. Juice’s impact is universally felt, as the Chicago rapper’s music and legacy looks to be celebrated in Fortnite Battle Royale, Chapter 2 Remix (further details to come later this month).
As the countdown ticks towards the final Juice WRLD Day at the United Center on Nov. 30, The Party truly seems to be in sight after years of delays.
