Lil Baby, Lil Durk collaboration ‘The Voice of the Heroes’ charts 16 songs, debuts at No. 1

Heroes Album: The Voice of the Heroes has proven to be a huge mainstream success for two of hip-hop’s brightest superstars.

Heroes Album: In March, Lil Baby took to his Instagram story to inform fans of the possibility of a collaboration tape with none other than Chicago rapper Lil Durk. Both artists had a fantastic year in 2020, as Baby achieved new heights with his critically-acclaimed album, My Turn, and Durk turning heads with his latest solo release, The Voice. News of an entire collaborative project between the two had fans locked in anticipation.

Features from both artists have also been on point. This year alone, Lil Baby has worked with the likes of Drake, Young Thug, J. Cole and Joyner Lucas. Durk has followed a similar formula — recently linking with Polo G, Moneybagg Yo, Tee Grizzley, Lil Skies and Pooh Shiesty.

Their collaborative effort, The Voice of the Heroes Album, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart and was streamed almost 200 million times in its first week — selling over 150,000 first-week units. Out of 18 tracks, 16 made it on the Billboard Hot 100, as the Travis Scott-assisted “Hats Off” was VOTH’s highest-charting song.

Both Durk and Baby were both trending towards undoubted mainstream success prior to their astronomical rise in 2020. Now at the pinnacle of their stardom, fans can only wait and see what “The Voice” and “The Heroes Album” come up with next.
