Lil Yachty unleashes a ‘three-piece’ of new music

Amid yet another MVP-caliber run in 2024, Lil Yachty surprised fans with a trio of new tracks Sunday night (Oct. 20).

Sharing “Cry Me A River,” “We Ball Forever” and “All Around The World,” Boat’s back in his bag—unleashing a flurry of YouTube exclusive cuts on a whim. Each track (which are all under 2 minutes and 30 seconds) is a flex in its own right, as Lil Yachty skates over whimsical, yet vibey production that’s become a staple of his catalog over the past year. “Cry Me A River” is a personal favorite of the bunch.

This three-piece is Yachty’s first solo drop since BAD CAMEO with James Blake, shortly after following features on Jean Dawson’s GLIMMER OF GOD and Ian’s GOODBYE HORSES. Appearing on “Hate Me” and “SORRYNOTSORRY” with Veeze, Yachty’s latest efforts continue to fuel conversations for his 2024 MVP vote. Other tracks like “A COLD SUNDAY,” “LETS GET ON DEY ASS,” “stayinit” with Fred Again.. and IT’S US, VOL. 1 with Concrete also have been cause for Boat’s dominance in and out of rap.

Despite the Atlanta rapper’s CONCRETE BOYZ collective coming under fire due he and former member KARRAHBOOO’s fallout, Boat and the boyz are slated to perform at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in late November.
