Rowdy Rebel New Album: Brooklyn-raised MC gears up for his first album in five years with some new bars.
Rowdy Rebel was released from his six-year prison sentence in December. Since then, he has begun to get back into the rhythm of releasing music.
The first glimpse we got of Rowdy Rebel after he was incarcerated was his feature verse on Pop Smoke’s July 2020 album, Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon. On “Make It Rain,” his verse was recorded over the phone due to his status behind bars. Then in February, Rebel dropped the single “Jesse Owens” with NAV as his first song since his release from prison.
He was also included in Young Stoner Life’s Slime Language 2 compilation album for the song “Came and Saw” with Young Thug. Rowdy bodied his “look at my drip when I walk (Walk) / slimey like Thugger and Wheez'” hook, as well as the track’s first verse.
In April, he linked up with fellow New Yorker A Boogie wit da Hoodie for “9 Bridge.” The two-and-a-half minute song sees the electric duo go back and forth with seven consecutive verses sandwiched between A Boogie’s hook.
Rowdy Rebel New Album: Rowdy Rebel took to Instagram Friday (June 18), to post a new freestyle video. The instrumental he employs is the same one used in Meek Mill’s most recent song “Flamerz Flow,” from June 3. Over the uptempo beat, Rowdy, alongside Busta Rhymes and his crew in the video, spits bars like:
She bad, I’ll one night her, depending if I like her
And if she do that shit I like might her to my cypher
25 pointers in the bezel, tell her light up
Reach for this chain, I’ll tell Monte fuck his night up

At the end of the video, Rowdy announces that his newest album “Sacrifices” is on its way. He is not specific as to when the project will release, but it appears that it could be sooner rather than later.
