Scorey delivers new album ‘Help Is On The Way’

Everything has led to this moment. On Dec. 9, Capalot Records’ Scorey dropped his full-length debut Help Is On The Way, further validating the co-sign Polo G gave him early in his career.

Throughout 2022, the Syracuse native had been dropping consistent singles — seven to be exact — building up more intrigue for this eventual tape. Whether it be February’s “Girls Love Rod Wave,” April’s “Oh Oh” or June’s “No Names,” Scorey has been flexing and improving upon his melodic prowess all year long.

In preparation for Friday’s release, Scorey finalized the track list for Help Is On The Way on Dec. 2. The LP consists of 16 songs and has features from Polo G and Lil Poppa, as well as including six of his seven promotional tracks — only leaving out his Sept. single “Cappers” with Lil Roc.

On the same day as this announcement (Dec. 2), Scorey dropped the project’s final single “Oh Well,” capping off the rollout with a relatively upbeat bop. “Oh Well” was accompanied by a simultaneous music video release, making it the fourth song on the album to be given a visual treatment after “Alone,” No Names” and “Oh Oh.”

Now that the entire slate of 16 songs has arrived, Scorey has finally followed through on all the potential he has shown during his come-up. If you have been looking for a strong dose of soulful, melodic rap recently, Help Is On The Way is the perfect project to satisfy those cravings.
