Cactus Jack star SoFaygo has been a force to be reckoned with since the release of his viral hit “Knock Knock” in 2020, leading the new generation with his signature style of melodic trap.
Following the release of Pink Heartz last year, Faygo continues to build momentum for his upcoming mixtape GO+ with his latest offering, “WISH I COULD TELL YOU” (June 2). Recruiting New York drill prodigy DD Osama, the duo provides insight to their need for privacy on the emphatic banger, which sounds reminiscent of Faygo’s early work on SoundCloud.
Over the last few months, Faygo and DD have been teasing this track with clips from the video shoot, finally treating fans to the wavy, summer trap anthem they’ve been waiting for. Both artists have vastly different styles and backgrounds, combining their unique experiences for two verses of auto-tuned crooning over a hard-hitting yet atmospheric instrumental.
Similarly to SoFaygo’s career, DD Osama has set himself apart from his contemporaries with his one-of-a-kind versatility, making everything from classic NYC drill to melodic love songs — and even interpolating the two. Dubbed as the “Justin Bieber of the rap game,” his debut album, Here 2 Stay, showcased his star power out — receiving features from Coi Leray, Rylo Rodriguez, Lil Zay Osama, 2Rare and more.
With SoFaygo’s upcoming EP set to bring out — or bring back — the best in him, listeners await to see what the Pink Heartz emcee drops next before the project. His last few releases include the y2tnb and Bryceunkwn-produced single “YE” and a two-pack titled “EXTRA/4ALLMYDAWGS.” Both of which have received positive reviews as GO+ is surely on deck for Faygo.
