The Kid LAROI is all grown up, detailing his stratospheric rise in his forthcoming documentary Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About A Kid Named LAROI.
The film, directed by Michael D. Ratner, is set to premiere Feb. 29 on Prime Video. Sharing the trailer on Wednesday (Feb. 21), its previewed scenes see LAROI speak on the joys and anxieties worldwide fame has brought him — a major theme throughout his debut album The First Time.
Along with clips of “Stay” collaborator Justin Bieber and early footage of LAROI in Australia, the “BLEED” singer also grips with the death of his friend and mentor, Juice WRLD.
“He taught me a lot about life,” LAROI said. “He had so much life left to live. That just should not be placed on anybody.” LAROI previously spoke on Juice WRLD’s mentorship with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe late last year, in conjunction with The First Time’s release.

Prior to the premiere, LAROI is set to take part in a special interactive screening that will see him provide real time commentary about the film, along with answering some fan questions (learn more here).
LAROI’s debut album features contributions from BTS’ Jungkook, Central Cee, Future, BabyDrill, NBA YoungBoy, d4vd and more, which follows his breakthrough mixtape, F*ck Love, in 2021. He recently graced Lyrical Lemonade’s compilation album, All Is Yellow, on the track “This My Life” alongside Lil Skies and Lil Tecca, also sharing a solo single titled “Heaven” that same day.
