Lyrical Lemonade drops debut compilation album ‘ALL IS YELLOW’

And it was all yellow….

Stemming from singles featuring Juice WRLD, Kid Cudi, Jack Harlow, Lil Yachty and more, Lyrical Lemonade has finally shared its highly-anticipated compilation album.

Marked by an embossed yellow curtain, ALL IS YELLOW (released on Jan. 26) is the first of its kind from Lyrical Lemonade and founder Cole Bennett.

Partnering with Def Jam Recordings, Bennett and company have brought on a slew of big-time features for the 14-track LP, which touts JID, Denzel Curry, Chief Keef, Lil Yachty, BabyTron, Ski Mask The Slump God, Teezo Touchdown, Lil Tecca, Lil Skies, The Kid Laroi, Aminé and much more.

Highlights like “Say Ya Grace” with Chief Keef and Boat, “First Night” featuring Teezo, Denzel Curry, Juicy J, Lil B and Cochise and “With The Fish” starring $NOT and the late-6 Dogs are just a few of the many moments that invite you into Lyrical’s one-of-one world.

Bennett also plans on dropping a music video for each cut on the album, crafting a “full visual piece” that connects each film to each other. The star-studded tracklist dropped a day after AIY’s final single “FALLOUT,” featuring Lil Yachty, Joey Bada$$ and Gus Dapperton, graced DSPs on Jan. 12. The compilation was initially announced after the release of “Stop Giving Me Advice,” performed by Jack Harlow and Dave.

In March 2022, Bennett sat down with OGM host Hakeem Rowe to discuss the conception of LL’s compilation tape, saying that “expansion” has become a main focus for him and the brand. “I want Lyrical Lemonade to have many different meanings, for many different people, for different reasons,” he said, also acknowledging his unwillingness to flesh out the LP earlier in his career. Now that he feels he’s “matured,” he’s gained the confidence to give the culture what it needs when the time is right.

Bennett marked the first day of the album’s process with an exciting message in September 2022. “I’m ready to dedicate a lot of my time and energy to this project,” he wrote. “[It’s] going to be an otherwordly experience… I’ll be treating this album like a movie. Day-by-day. Step-by-step.” Cole’s main message behind ALL IS YELLOW: “bringing worlds and collaborations together you’d never expect.”

ALL IS YELLOW is both out of this world and world-altering — and perhaps the best album of the year thus far. It’s all yellow from here on out.
