Producing for the likes of Ken Carson, LUCKI, Dom Corleo and more, Bhristo is a one-of-one curator with an ear that seemingly hears into the future.
Inspired by the prolific Kanye West, XXXTENTACION, Clams Casino and more, the Los Angeles native realized his passion for beat-making at an early age, along with skateboarding. Things took off in 2019, where the underground’s then-bubbling Slayworld collective (featuring artists such as Yeat, Summrs, Kankan and others) gravitated towards Bhristo’s dark, iridescent and sample-clad sound. His placements on Summrs’ FALLEN RAVEN are still some of his favorite to this day.
Destroy Lonely, Ken Carson (A GREAT CHAOS), Dom Corleo and LUCKI have all locked in with Bhristo at one point, but his chemistry with LUCKI is truly unmatched. Spearheading songs on LUCKI’s FLAWLESS LIKE ME — which solidified his mainstream ascent — his work on SMD and his latest pack “2 FACED” are further illustrative of Bhristo’s ability to cultivate relationships, prioritizing this above all. “Don’t make everything about the music,” he says. “Be patient and try and build something real with an artist. You just can’t be a robot… Be a person.”
